- Pages visited and time spent on the Platform (via Firebase Analytics)

- Authentication tokens issued by Firebase Authentication

- Forward your application documents to partner universities on your behalf
- Send you notifications about your application status by email or WhatsApp
- Provide visa guidance and pre-departure advice

- Improve our Platform and personalise your experience
- Comply with legal obligations
We will not use your data for unrelated marketing without your explicit consent.
4 Data Sharing
We share your data only in the following circumstances:
- Partner universities: When you submit an application, we forward your documents and information to the relevant institution.
- Firebase (Google): We use Firebase Authentication and Firestore, operated by Google, for account management and analytics. Google's privacy policy applies to their services.
- Email / notification providers: We may use third-party SMTP services to send application update emails.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for commercial purposes.
5 Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Specifically:
- Account data is retained while your account is open and for up to 2 years after closure.
- Application documents are retained for up to 3 years to support any visa or reapplication needs.
- You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights below).
6 Cookies & Tracking
We use a minimal set of cookies and browser storage mechanisms to make the Platform work properly. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks.

7 Security
We take security seriously and implement the following protections:
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption)
- Authentication is handled by Firebase, a Google-managed service with industry-standard security
- Uploaded documents are stored in a protected server directory not publicly accessible by URL
- API endpoints require a valid Firebase ID token for every request
- Rate limiting is applied to all API routes to prevent abuse

8 Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information via your Profile page or by contacting us.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your account and personal data. Note that we may need to retain some data for legal or operational reasons.
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection: Object to the processing of your data for purposes other than those strictly necessary to provide the service.
- Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

9 Children's Privacy
Our Platform is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16 without parental or guardian consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
